2025 Ford Everest Tremor Announced
Bilstein suspension, A/T tyres and Rock Crawl drive mode headline the new hero Everest 4x4
Ford Australia has doubled down on its new Tremor nameplate and applied it to the back of its best-selling Everest 4x4 SUV.
Following an almost identical recipe to the equivalent Ranger Tremor, the 2025 Ford Everest Tremor will go into production as of November and become the off-road hero of the local Everest portfolio thanks to its upgraded suspension, tyres, design and capability.
As with the Ranger, the Everest Tremor is based on the previously penultimate Sport grade, for the extra cost you get Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, new springs, General Grabber AT3 off-road tyres and the Ranger Raptor’s Rock Crawl drive mode.
The new suspension and rolling stock adds 26mm of extra ground clearance to the ensemble which combines with a unique black front fascia and honeycomb grille – including auxiliary driving lights – to deliver a more imposing and capable-looking aesthetic.
Other additions include a steel front bash plate, heavy-duty side steps and signature Tremor badging.
One major disparity between the Ranger and Everest Tremors, however, is the powertrain: the Ranger is four-cylinder-only while the Everest is a V6-only proposition, as per the Sport model-grade it’s based on.
That means 184kW/600Nm, full-time 4x4, 3500kg maximum braked towing capacity, a 10-speed automatic transmission, low-range gearing, multiple drive modes and locking rear differential.
Inside the cabin you’ll find Tremor-embossed leather seats, ebony-coloured interior accents, all-weather floor mats, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control and eight-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat.
The rest of the Everest Tremor’s specification details will be announced closer to its local introduction but Ford has already locked in the optional Rough Terrain, Touring, Premium Seat and Towing packages as per other Everest variants.
“The Everest Tremor answers the call from passionate adventurers who demand even more capability and ruggedness from their SUVs,” Ford Australia marketing director Ambrose Henderson said.
“With its unique combination of off-road effectiveness, towing capacity and premium features, the Everest Tremor is ready to tackle any adventure, on or off Australia’s various terrains.”
